Call me stupid, but...

How exactly does one apply the new ZTX time-shifting or pitch-shifting? Do you have
to go into the soundbite editor window? I selected "pitch quantize" but that seems to
just apply the same old PureDSP pitch shifting...

Have you got ZTX selected in the drop down menu as per figure 78-1 in DP User Guide p.877?
Possible that you have PureDSP selected there...

New soundbites default to ZTX, but there are several quality settings, like your printer: better, best... Something like that. The menu is next to the soundbite name.

Only if you choose pitch as your "main" lane. And only as you wrote, next to the soundbite name at the beginning of the soundbite. If you are viewing automation lanes and having pitch as a secondary lane you do not see the ZTX drop down. But you have the Absolute and Relative dropdown available. Would be nice to have everything in the same area one day.

Analog is great... We got both WOW and Flutter - what's your bias?

Had to time stretch an orchestral cue to match a new conductor track (including taking out a slight ritard) today. This used to mean a round trip to Melodyne and lots of fiddling around. Did it in DP and it sounded great! Just change the conductor track and apply the new tempo to the sound bites (in this case a stem mix). Very happy!
