Can't record or insert controllers?

Post by SMS »

Everything is on in the input filter, but DP won't record controller 64, and the "Controller" item in the insert popup of the event list window is greyed out. I can't insert or record ANY controller Data, although DP is patching through all controlers to the VIs. Also in the "Show Only" popup of the MIDI Editor, all the controller entries are greyed out... What am I missing?

Just got off the phone w/ MOTU tech support. Had to trash prefs. PITA. Very odd.

Resolved, at least.

Quite a few are only using 9.02 as 9.12 is a bit buggy. This may be yet another or just a gremlin.

I want DPX!

Even odder is that one I trashed prefs and reopened the file, the controller data was there, it had been recorded, although it wasn't visible or playing back. Hmm.

That's strange. Sounds like a VIEW bug. Was it not seeing it and playing before, or neither? Just curious.

I've got an ongoing problem that MOTU has replicated and will (hopefully) fix soon... its the CC64 bug that has been discussed here. First pass laying down a MIDI track all is well. Second try on same take and track, CC64 pedaling is not reflected in the target VI or MIDI module's MIDI stream but IS recorded to the track. On playback, its like CC64 was working all along. Strange.

It's always been working as expected, until I opened DP and the project today; weirdsville. New Projects exhiited same anomoly until I trashed prefs.
