Turbo Tips

Post by Shooshie »

I just added a post in the Tips Sheet, based on a post in the troubleshooting forum (but quite different, actually), which I'm calling "Turbo Tips." These have become my mainstays in all my audio workflows. Some apply to anything, but many are geared to comping takes and editing audio.

Tips Sheet: Turbo Tips for getting past the mousing-around stage.
If you all already use all these, then forgive my redundancy. I suspect, though, that a lot of newer users would find DP a lot more interesting if they were using these tips. Instead of mousing all over the screen and clicking and dragging on everything, these put more focus on memorizing keystrokes, and using them in creative ways. Video coming soon (maybe a few weeks). I'm in the middle of a project right now and can't take time to edit a video.

Speed isn't really my concern with these tips. I waste enough time just listening to little details that speeding up my operations doesn't affect the bottom line all that much. But it sure helps preserve wrists and keep ideas in mind, rather than getting bogged down in the operations. One tip for auditioning all takes in all comp boundaries without stopping saves a phenomenal amount of time AND effort.

Enjoy...

I only just found out JUST NOW that one can make a selection of an article in the browser, right-click and select "Print" and only print what has been selected!

This last "Turbo Tips" was so print-worthy that it made me try it - and it worked :!:
