Import track setup from another project

Post by zandurian »

So I have a song using Superior Drummer and I have it set up multitrack with 7 aux tracks and effects on the aux tracks etc. and I would like to import the same 8 tracks (1 instrument and 7 aux) over to another song I'm getting ready to play drums on.

Seems that there was a way to do this but I can't figure it out. I know I can make them into a V-rack and import them that way but I'd rather have the tracks in the regular tracks window.

Advise?

Using DP8

Does the new song already have recorded tracks or is it still empty?

The LOAD command should do that. If not, then I'd make a copy of the project and delete what you don't want. Maybe save the clean version as a template for future use.

I have a clipping which I use for this. The clipping consists of all my Superior tracks (empty MIDI tracks, the VI itself and aux returns). Works like a charm. Make a clipping of your custom Superior tracks from your old song project (including plugins but no MIDI note data). Then just drag the clipping from the clipping window into your new DP project.

It's and old song getting a drums facelift from the original DHFS to superior drummer 2.

That's it! Thanks
