Yes, that is really his car and he was driving. We were all appalled and no one thought to get a pic of him getting out. My family suggested I get in his face about it but I declined. That would have ruined my evening. As it is, I've another Woz story I can tell.

I have a Woz story. I got his autograph with Sharpie on an iBook G4. Instead of putting it under my bed as a collectible, I continued using it and the "Woz" rubbed off. Dumb.

Woz must face!

Meanwhile - if the HomePod speaker adjusts itself to create a room/speaker combo that presents a flat output (sort of like a home version of IK Multimedia's ARC-2), that can only be a good thing, bringing the sound closer to that which was heard by the mastering engineer, I would think.

Yep. I've been acquainted with him since before Apple and used to run into him frequently. Some of my friends were in his class at Homestead High where both of my daughters went to school (I would have been in Steve Job's class had I not lived 15 miles away). It would surprise me if he knew my name unless we talked again and I dropped references to this, that and mutual friends. Yes, I had the perfect opportunity that night and if my son-in-law asked for an introduction, I would have spoken to him. It is not in my nature to embarrass someone in front of his friends and listen to whatever lame explanation would result. Such a confrontation would have only served to ruin my evening.

A friend of mine who is a longtime Apple employee was coming to work one morning and was burn out of a parking space by some jerk who slipped in front of him at the last minute. He looks up to curse out said jerk. It was Steve Jobs!
