I use BTT extensively. More reports please?

I had the "two finger tap" handled by BTT for some reason and that did not work with DP 9.13.
The two finger tap/right click works ok if handled at the OS Level.

I'll be starting the initial mixing of an 18 song project today with no clients hanging over my shoulder, so I'll have a chance to put 9.13 through its paces. Keeping my fingers crossed.

9.13 works fine here. It didn't rescan plugins or do anything different on startup compared to 9.12. You might not have a clean download.
But RROY is under Montain Lion: another friend is with 10.8.5. and he has the same issue .

At home, under SIERRA 10.12.4. no problem for the moment _

Delay compensation is still not working right, though. If I have cpu intensive plugs on the master bus (especially some UAD) and then render a VI to audio, the recorded audio is offset. This was the case also in 9.12, if not an earlier version of 9. Never had a problem with it in DP 7 or 8.
The release notes say UAD are not working correctly... "or example, plug-ins that delegate their processing to hardware or other processes, such as UAD plug-ins or Vienna Ensemble Pro (VEP), can not run in pre-generation mode, and so will not benefit from its increased performance. In practice this is not much of a loss, since the processing work is already being offloaded from the real time signal path."
The issue is delay compensation, not pre-gen. I just did a test with only MOTU plugs on the master bus and audio recorded from a VI to an audio track is shifted earlier.

Just got off the phone with MOTU and they can confirm the latency compensation problem. They surmise it has something to do with the new pre-gen system. For now, you can go to Configure Audio System>Configure Studio Settings and uncheck Automatic Plug-In Latency. Or, if you have a VI window open, you can choose to run the VI in real time from the drop down menu in the upper right of the window, just know that if you close the window the VI will revert to pre-gen.

I would like the run all plugins in real time check box back. It would be nice to have an option and possibly get around some of these other issues.

I just installed 9.13 and it didn't fix any of the issues I am having..such as extremely sluggish/laggey and stuttery behavior when zoomed in to edit and the bigger one of NOT being able to save plugin presets from MOTU's OWN plugins. 3rd party plugins preset saving works fine. This is on my home machine and Im about to go to the studio and see what happens there. On that machine currently I can't save ANY plugin presets.

Can you post you system info? Re: zooming in, you're likely stressing out the CPU. That will also happen with "too many" windows open. "Too many" being defined largely by CPU speed/configuration and RAM amount.

Good to hear. I'm still on 9.01 but I'll probably rename that one and download 9.13 and check it out.

Thanks.

Installed no problems. The list of fixes for the most part are things I didn't think were problems.
I use an RME Fireface, the driver issue might have been an issue in terms of the occasional crash, we will see.

The VST2 plug in MIDI input duplicates are still happening in older projects at least. Beyond that just glad they're working on it. 8)

I just finished playing back a large test file with a 128k buffer in 9.13 with no drop-outs or other anomalies.

I was able to go down to 512 in DP 9.12 but playback sounded better at 1048. Otherwise, it was double that in 7.24–9.02.

Recorded a new song in 9.13 today. All went well except for a problem with click.
Played click in a song I had previously recorded in 9.12 and click sound way off. Printed click on a track and it was all over the place, mostly ahead of the beat.
Started new session, printed click, all was good. Weird, but that was it so far.
