Hello everybody,
I'm using the pencil tool. All the notes are quarter notes. Is there a way to pencil in eighth or sixteenth notes?
Thank you,
Terry

Re: change the note duration for pencil tool
First, set the snap grid to some useful increment (i.e., if you want 8th notes, or some multiple of that duration, set the grid to 8ths).
Next, as you click your first note, drag horizontally until you get the length you want. Subsequent quick clicks well generate notes of that same value. If you want a different value after that, drag again. If DP loses my chosen length, I'm guessing it is because there was a little horizontal motion in the mouse as I clicked.
