Reviving the Roland PCR series in Sierra!

Post by MIDI Life Crisis »

Apple Discussions to the rescue! Apparently the solution was on the Roland site but you don't see it by a simple search in their help section.

This works!

Roland PCR800 (in my case) but other sizes are available. I use the 61 note keyboard because it fits on my desktop along with a bunch of other stuff. I use it for non-piano sequencing and note entry in Finale. Super convenient to have that right in front of me and not need to accommodate my 88 note controllers (pictured below with my Track 16 off towards the upper left, Magic Trackpad 2 and new Apple QWERTY kbd). Loving the trackpad with Better Touch Tool, the 9 function keys in conjunction with Keyboard Maestro, and the resurrected PCR-800. Just in time for the current project!

They make a newer version as well as several other sizes. It's a great controller with a lot of programmable features and controllers, and a nice light, QUIET keyboard.
