Automation in OMF file

Post by apanacci »

Hey guys, I was looking at the Avid forum and someone had posted saying that an OMF file from DP opened in PT has automation. Where do you choose that in the export ?

Maybe that was my post over at the DUC... I was referring to AAFs - make sure you check "export clip-based volume" and the automation will show up in Pro Tools (although "clip-based volume" does sound different than "volume automation", more like "clip gain", but otherwise automation is not exported). Also don't check "interleaved" for the audio files, or DP will mess things up and export them in mono (!!)...
