Ok so, regarding the other thread, if this video is inclusive, it looks like polyphonic pitch editing a la melodyne is not in fact in the works. That would have been very surprising had it been.

That is the complete video. Although the "2nd half" was from today. The first video ended prematurely because my iPhone ran out of storage space mid demo on Friday. And you are correct. This is not polyphonic pitch editing.

Having been there, though, I can tell you that the new pitch shifting algorithm sounds VERY good and the time stretching sounds very good as well. In the case of the latter, I suspect in most cases users will no longer feel it necessary to time stretch or shrink in MachFive3 or other apps.

Yes. It appears that "polyphonic" must have been referring to pitch/time done en masse to full-mix (polyphonic) material.

I was glad to see that DP always referred back to the original soundbite when multiple tweaks on time stretches are done. I'd always jumped through hoops to undo back to the original before trying another stretch.

DP has always referred to the original file when time stretching. It's done this since V4

Yes, I've always just done an Option-drag to give the soundbite a new name and preserve the original.

Hey guys, thinking of moving to 9 from 8. Have the demo at this point. What is the grace time if I upgrade to 9 now and the new version comes out, would I be eligable for the upgrade. Watched the David,s NAMM video and they did not give a release date.

What was the "Expanding to multiple computer setups" item on the screen - right before David switched to demoing in DP?

Are they introducing a cubase-like system-link feature?
