DP and UAD Apollo IO

Post by supersonic »

Hello Everyone

This is how my IO looks like in DP using Apollo. No specific names on top. Just generic ones. Not very clear. Anyone managed to have the proper name tags up there? Motu and UAD have not been helpful.

Those are the proper descriptions for each Thunderbolt "output." The names are changed on the left column. Those left hand column names are what you see in the TO and SE window etc. You can change instrument and MIDI device names which helps. To avoid the long names which take up space in the Tracks window I use UAD 1, UAD 2 etc. Bundles is (shift U).

Once you get what you want save the Bundle settings... you can import anytime or set up a template with that bundle setting.

You can also name the channels in the UAD mixer. Click on the track strip at the bottom.

What Apollo are you using?

That is true. However, other DAWs display the proper I/O names above (pro tools for one).

It's how it's programmed in the DAW and the Interface. How it identifies. Protools does not use the same identifiers as DP...

It would be nice to have that option nonetheless..

I think it would not be able to identify the routing in the code. It's based on those names. Only input and output. But you can custom name the windows you see. Only the Bundles window is locked in and we don't see that in the track lists. I don't understand what is bugging you about it.
