mk-4 for a dinosaur - me :)

Post by prjacobs »

Hi everyone,
I'm still using my 2 X 2,8 Ghz Quad-Core from 2008. For quite a while I was writing a TV show in both Protools and DP and I still use my Digi 002 rack. Since switching to OS10.10.5 I'm having lots of issues with my 002. Even with 10.6 Finale 2012 wasn't happy. Now my 002 only records at 44.1. My Kontact library plays back 1/2 step lower and 2014 Finale won't even open.
I'm not looking for anything fancy. I'm currently using DP9 which does work - at 44.1. There are no drivers for the 002 that work in OS 10.10 and I think it's time I move on since I won't be using Protools anymore.
But without replacing my computer, I want to get an interface that will be happy in DP9, Finale and Logic Pro X.
Will the mk-4 do the job?
Thanks in advance, Paul

The UltraLite-mk4?

If the inputs and functionality match your needs (which you didn't spell out), it should work fine.

Thanks, The ins and outs are fine. I have an extensive patchbay and MIDI timepiece. I'm giving my daughter most of my vintage synths.
