I love using Spectral Effects for adjusting the pitch and formant of voice recordings. It's incredibly handy in much of the production I do, and I've used it a trillion times in the last 10 years. However, and I've never seen any other posts about this, my experience is that DP6 is the last version of the software I could use and get really clean results. DP6 Spectral Effects sounds amazing, but from DP7 on, it's basically unusable.
Any SE treatment from post-6 platforms consistently produces highly audible distortion in the results. The difference is striking, and a tremendous shame. Anyone else have this experience?
