Disappearing Data!
Please Help! I can't figure out what's going on. I'm trying to simply move MIDI notes and data and it won't work in the track view, sequence view, or the MIDI view. When I select notes and try to drag them say 4 measures later, 80% of the notes just disappear. The one's that remain don't even move. The same thing happens if I try to shift everything. I've tried selecting different ways, I've tried moving and duplicating different ways and it never works correctly. I didn't use to have this problem. Any ideas?

Re: Disappearing Data!
Is it just one project, or ALL projects? Haven't heard that one before but if it's one file, then you might LOAD the sequences into a new project as the project may have become corrupted.
If it's ALL files/projects, I'd try a reinstall if DP but either way I'd put in a call or techlink to MOTU on Monday.
Very strange behavior...

Re: Disappearing Data!
After deleting all my Motu preferences, I'm back to working.

Cool. So many people claim deleting plists never fixes anything. Not in my experience. It can fix lots of problems, like this one.
Thanks for posting the solution.

Seriously. I know, it makes no sense at all yet the o/p reports seeing it. Perhaps a graphics glitch?Shooshie wrote:Jeez, I wish we knew specifically which pref(s) were corrupted to cause THAT!

Re: Disappearing Data!
In the View Filter make sure under Notes that Normal (display/play), Display-Only, and Playback-only are all selected. This is the default preference so that's why trashing preferences fixes it.

Thankfully, MOTU has changed that in more recent versions of DP.
