I'm currently running one 27" Cinema Display and am thinking of going to dual 27" displays, stacked one over the other. With everything I've read about the weak VESA adaptors for Cinema displays, not to mention the cost and Apple's departure from the monitor category, I'm looking at other manufacturers. Looking for a recommendation for 27" LCDs and also for a monitor stand (maybe something like the one below).
Requirements:
• The width of a 27" monitor fits in my current desk, so I won't be looking for anything larger.
• Need display port input to run from my Mac Pro
• I do edit video on this system, so I should probably be looking at an IPS screen. I don't need 4K for what I'm doing.
Thanks!

Re: Monitor Recommendations?
No one has Display Port that I've seen. No need. HDMI is the current standard and inexpensive adapters are readily available. The one for MDP/TB can be had for about $9 or less from Amazon or Best Buy etc. Interestingly, it is the most common one needed nowadays and is not available from Apple.

You can get it as a cable, also, but you will get a cable included with most monitors.

Re: Monitor Recommendations?
Look at Dell... lots of Display Ports on their IPS monitors. I run 2x 24" IPS 16:10 aspect ratio and they are very solid. Wait for a sale when you find your prize. Here's a 27" you might like: https://www.amazon.com/Dell-UltraSharp- ... dell+27%22 or (newer model, I think) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D402Z28/re ... B00P0EQD1Q

I've found this company's monitor arms very nice: http://www.innovativeessentials.com/inn ... fgodva4DKg

I've got a Samsung 23" that's great. I don't know about their larger models.
