Recording Plug-In Bypass Automation (Waves)

Post by Rick Cornish »

Hi gang......
I've been finding that plug-in bypass automation (automation command for DP's plug-in bypass button) seems to be unavailable for some of my Waves plug-ins. (There is no bypass command available in the automation command list.)

I've tried…
• Trying to insert a bypass command in the event list for an instrument track where I have a plug-in inserted
• Trying to do the same thing from the SE
• Trying to record track automation for the bypass—either by clicking the bypass button in the plug-in window as I record automation or by option-clicking the plug-in insert as I record

I did check both my global and track automation setup to be sure that effect bypass is enabled.

Bypass automation does work for most of my plug-ins—but I've found at least four Waves plug-ins where it seems to be unavailable.

Any ideas/suggestions?
