Bounce Problem on 9.1

Post by supersonic »

I am having an issue with DP crashing just after hitting return on the bounce dialog while 9.02 does it without a problem.

I have recorded audio, MIDI, edge edited soundbites, mixed tracks and then bounced the audio - all with no problems whatsoever. Whatever is troubling many DP users must surely be related to their hardware, and software plugins etc. I have not had any problems so far - but I am on a new iMac with plenty of RAM and am using VI's and Plugins which seem to have no issues with DP. Bouncing has worked well - so there is a mystery why some users like myself are not having any problems. There are, no doubt, issues I have not tested, and others that don't affect my workflow. I am sure some bugs exist but my setup is working well at the moment - keeping my fingers crossed....

I think it might be tied to how certain plugins deal with the new pre-render engine. I also did bounces on 9.1 with no problem. There are w few projects which do not want to play ball.

I had the same problem. MOTU tech support helped me track it down. The VST version of PSP Xenon was the culprit. The AU version works. I'd look at all VST stuff as potential culprits. Replace with the AU versions if possible.

I think you are onto something. These are VST plugin versions. I used them by mistake.

I believe this is one of the bugs fixed in DP 9.12.
