Very happy with DP9.02: MachFive + Diamond Drive

Post by FMiguelez »

These past 2 weeks I've been using DP heavy duty. Everything's been great!

I was thrilled to discover that DP's little plugin Diamond Drive really rocks! I had not really used MachFive's Telematic guitar much. I didn't think much of it, but this week I felt like trying something else instead of Pettinhouse Guitars, and Telematic proved to be really nice and powerful once you get really into it (and read its manual).

I was trying a bunch of stuff with Native Instrument's Guitar Rig. While I got nice sounds, Diamond Drive immediately sealed the deal for me. It gave me this "creamy distortion" that is sitting really well in the mix.
Really nice little plugin. I'll be trying the rest of those soon. I won't underestimate them anymore!

I've only had 2 crashes, but I am demanding a lot from my computers. I will not update DP until MOTU releases a revised bug-free version. In the mean time, my system is VERY solid these days with DP9.02 and Yosemite, and I won't mess with it.

I love DP9 :)

Did you ever upgrade to 9.1? If so, I guess you downgraded?

No. I never bothered upgrading. I stayed with 9.02. I'm so glad about it now :)

I meant the video tutorial (Groove 3). Eli goes into good detail about MF's instruments
