I don't have a transparency slider for the Control Panel. I would really like that though!

DP Transparent transport?
I was looking at the DP Features page today while talking to someone about DP and I noticed this:
I don't have a transparency slider for the Control Panel. I would really like that though!

I don't have an answer for you, but it does exist in DP 7.24, FWIW.
