It should be addressed soon. MOTU is aware of it. The free update deal is broken I guess for a little while I guess. DP 9.02 will do in the meantime I guess.

It's high on their priority list. They know about this and know what a PITA it is, and you can probably bet that it will be fixed with an update soon. There are people on this board who have heard that directly from MOTU.

There are other issues as well that MOTU has promised to fix (via TechLink responses) in the next release. MOTU's tech support has really come a long way. I suspect they are working hard to make 9.1.1 (or whatever they call it) more reliable and the people here have helped them do that through TechLinks. Keep sending those in folks. We're making a difference.

I've checked "Check for Updates Automatically" in the Help menu - keeping my fingers crossed.

Yeah, don't mind me. This stuff just pops into my head then spews out my mouth, or in the case of the inter webs, out my fingers (kinda like the Stay-Puft marshmallow man). I just like the sound of Nemesis. Move over ProTools here comes Nemesis!

On another note...

I got a reply to a MOTU TechLink where the support guy couldn't reproduce the problem I described, but felt it was important enough to pass along to the engineers. I think MOTU is working really hard at getting this right.
