I only found out about this indirectly, and have received no email from Audio Ease announcing this new convolution reverb for post-production, which they appear to be billing as their highest-end product.

Both myself and my engineer are very excited about the brilliant GUI. If Altiverb could be made to work that way, wow. But Post generally aint a need for me. Sigh....

Emails were sent out to Altiverb customers today, but there's no mention of an upgrade or crossgrade offer.
This new plug-in costs something like $700+?

Re: Audio Ease releases new convo product for post: Indoor
Very interesting. They've done something like this before, but it was part of Altiverb. I downloaded all the IRs for it, but never really had any use for it, not being a post shop. Also, I always thought it was a great idea, but needed further interface work to make it fluid and easy to use. That's exactly what they've done here. It should be a hit with anyone making movies. I mean, this does a lot of work and does it well for what really is very little cost or effort.

Good point, but those who do post and need something like this would find it very reasonable. Saves hundreds of hours of work.David Polich wrote:$799. Beyond affordable for most of us.

$795 so I can do audio for The Sims... Ok, I'm kidding but that is what the GUI looks like.
Looks like fun and quite useful for making post audio sound more realistic. If it can't do that, what's the point? If I needed for a gig, I would include it in the budget. Otherwise, it goes on my list of fun toys to have someday, maybe, perhaps...

I agree Mike.
Personally, I would enjoy having some boy band music playing in one corner of the INDOOR house, and then go slam each door in the GUI as hard as I can while moving outside.
That way I could finally measure my 'tolerance' with the number of door slams.

Interesting choice of audio examples Argen used in the demo vid.
