UVI Attack88 Crashing DP

Post by Rick Cornish »

Hi gang.........
Has anyone had trouble with a UVI VI repeatedly crashing DP?

I recently bough UVI's Attack88 "tacked" Rhodes. Since it doesn't play with MF3, I downloaded UVI Workstation to use it.

So what do you do when you get a new VI? Check out the presets, right? So I'm working through the presets and after 6 or so… DP crashes. And again and again. Whenever I open Attack88 in the UVI Workstation plug-in within DP and change presets repeatedly, it will eventually crash every time.

Here’s what I’ve done…
1. Opened other instruments in UVI Workstation plug-in within DP—no problems
2. Opened Attack88 in stand-alone UVI Workstation—no problems
3. Today I trashed Attack88 and uninstalled UVI Workstation, then re-installed Attack88 (from the original USB drive I received from UVI) and re-downloaded and installed UVI Workstation 2.6.6. Same exact story.

I have exchanged several e-mails with UVI support, who has been very responsive, but thus far, has not found a solution. Today, I also opened a TechLink with MOTU to solicit their ideas.

Just wondering if anyone here has had this kind of trouble with a UVI instrument… or if you have another idea I might try. Thanks.
