MP3 problems
Some of the mp3s that I export out of DP have playback problems where the file might stumble or stop and then start playing again. Anyone else noticing this?

Never, but you might play around with the export settings a bit.

Re: MP3 problems
No problems here. However, I often wonder why exporting to MP3 out of DP takes so long as compared to an iTunes export.
I haven't actually put a stopwatch to it, but I'm thinking about a minute for a 3 minute song as compared to iTunes which is maybe 12 seconds.
Obviously, the DP export is quicker at a lower bit rate as is iTunes.
Just a second cup of coffee inquiry!

Re: MP3 problems
I've been making a lot of mp3s lately, and I haven't seen that problem.
Buzzy, yeah, it does take longer to make an mp3 in DP. I always attributed it to LAME. It's not much faster than real time. Of course, if you don't use variable bit rate, it may be faster. Since file size isn't so much an issue anymore, I may start using constant bit rates for mp3s, with settings for high quality. I just need to test them and see how they sound. Meanwhile, AAC sounds great. iTunes isn't a bad way to go.

Re: MP3 problems
I use DP if bouncing a multitrack project to mp3.
If converting a stereo track, I use QuickTime 7.6.6 as I find it faster than using iTunes for the task. Drop the file onto the alias in the Dock, select a destination, you're done in a few seconds.
If doing a batch convert, I use DSP-Quatro or TwistedWave. I rarely have to do this so I've not made an A/B comparison.
