Plugin to pan stereo LR independently

Post by reedster »

Hello all,

Looking for an Audio Unit plugin like DP's Trim, where either side of a stereo file can be panned anywhere in the stereo field.

or perhaps some way to do this within DSP-Quattro?

thanks for any guidance,

reed

Just click the little grey button in Trim to unlink the channels and then pan either L<->R?

I think the OP is looking for an AU plug in that works like Trim, but outside of DP.

No doubt but knowing how to split a stereo track into two mono tracks gets the job done.

thanks much for the replies and links.

Yes, outside of DP. In a brief test DSP-Quattro treated deinterleaved files as contiguous rather than concurrent events -

Musicman, appreciate the tip: Flux Stereo Tool worked a treat - exactly what's needed - and it would still be a cheap solution at twice the price!

Flux Stereo Tool and it's free.
Although there are other ways to achieve the same result, this certainly looks the easiest. Nice find.

Here's the link:

I'm downloading it before they change their minds on the price. There's another interesting freebie called BitterSweet.

Been using Stereo Tool for years now. Besides being free and an excellent tool at that there's also the goniometer display. The DP Trim plugin doesn't do that - it just has a static display of what it thinks things are.

Ditto. If this is as good as it looks, it could live in-line on every stereo channel in my template. A very nice find.
