I downloaded the updates yesterday. What a great company Cinesamples is! I love their libraries, and recommend them highly.

No problems so far, but then again, I don't expect any. How about you?

Not too impressed so far. The update procedure is not working, and I can't find any instructions on what to do. I downloaded the various files for the update and ran the installer, but Kontakt reports that the samples aren't where there suppose to be - No telling if that was what I was suppose to do though. The download page just provides a bunch of links to various files that download in compressed form. I assumed incorrectly that downloading them all and running the installer would be the way to install. Not so. Also, the CineStrings update doesn't seem to work at all.

...CineSamples has got some work to do streamlining their installation process. My original install was also a rough road. I feel like I'm working in the 90s with their primitive installer schemes.

It looks like the the samples included with the update are the wrong ones for the instruments. The .rar file is labeled "1_5", but unstuffed they're file name says "01". Which is the same as what I had before, except now the Library is updated and is looking for the new files.

This is an irritating mess. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Okay. Freakout over.

In case anyone else is having this issue: The only way I can figure out how to update is to re-download the entire library with the CineSamples Downloader. ...you *don't* update by clicking on the "Update" icon in your Purchased Products download page. Doesn't make much sense to me, but there you have it.

Sorry to hear about your problems. What I did was remove the library within Kontact after the install (you could also remove it before the install) and then add it again. That seems to force Kontact to re-examine all the files.

I don't know if this is the case here but I've had issues with other updates for Kontakt 5 libraries. They seem to assume that you left the libraries in the place the installer normally puts them and if you move the libraries afterwards they get confused.
