recurring save error message

Post by Jim »

OS error reported by File I/O:

File not found (-43)

Additional information:
/Volumes/DISKNAME/.TemporaryItems/folders.502/TemporaryItems/file_name.dp3474341268

These often have to do with folder permissions, but I have my permissions set to Read & Write, and the Project files save correctly into my Project folder.

This is more of annoyance than a problem, as it doesn't seem to do any harm besides popping up after I save.

Anybody know if there's a fix?

You need to chase the path using the info that shows up in the long name. See if that folder exists.

You don't mention the OS. Its important.

I think I've figured this out. I got into a habit of hitting Save while playing several times in a row, just to make sure that DP was saving. This wasn't an issue with DP8, but apparently DP9 doesn't like that. I've noticed that I only get that message when Saving quickly more than one time. Solution is to stop doing that.
