Honestly, I don't like the look, retro and cluttered. The YOU indicator..

It probably sounds great, but there are other options out there for that kind of $$, or less.

I actually want one of those now that I'm working ITB. One wire from desk to rack? Sign me up.

I've got a Behringer patch bay; an 8 channel, multi-source headphone amp; a UMA25S, 25-key, shoulder-harness keyboard (USB or MIDI), and two or three other small Behringer devices. I can't fault any of them. In fact, I'm very impressed with them.

I'd saved a pic of this unit from an email as a reminder to research it, especially given Slate's competitive pricing of its other products.

Now that I've seen the price, the decision to continue using my crappy old Mackie mini-desk has been made super-easy.

Apparently this unit consists of more hardware and many, many more features than a photo would reveal. It's the entire "center console" section of a Raven MTX, and address a 2u rack unit. Or so it seems from the press release.

Anyway, still too expensive for me, but certainly in line with other mega-high-end monitor control products.

I just noticed that between the 2 photos, some of the knobs are different (silver vs. black).

I noticed that too. When I tried out the big 42" Raven, it had the silver ones depicted in the top picture.. I would hope it's going to be the black ones though, those would look a lot cleaner, IMO.
