I have an older MAC G5 , that I still use when I am not in my new studio and when edits , I find that DP5 has timing issues involving pitch-correctionand more that have been discussed at length here at motivation.
I'd love to update my DP5 to Dp6 but MOTU is not selling it anymore. If someone out there has a legal copy that I could acquire, buy or barter. Please let me know. Thank You>

Just to stem the tide, because I'm sure you're going to get a lot of advice to stay on DP5: Yes, DP6 was a dog with many fleas. That being said, I think MOTU realized this and fixed many of the problems in the DP6.03 update which came out almost at the same time as DP7, by which time most users had moved on. I have a DP6 copy, but since it's in my upgrade path I don't know how to transfer a license. I think you need to talk to MOTU about that; perhaps they can sell you a copy.

DP 6 can also kill your ability to record. That's what they changed the MOTU Audio system. If you reverted to the DP 5 system, it worked. The DP 7 system worked. DP 6? Not so much.
It's a fool's errand, IMO.

Others have reported that, by upgrading to the latest version of DP, they were still able to get DP 7. I would give MOTU a call and see if that is still possible. I did something like that when I ordered DP 8.
As long as MOTU still has copies of 7 in stock, you might be able to do this.
