In my initial post about the new installers I said I "disabled SIP" before installing. I meant I "ENABLED SIP" before installing. I edited my post. One of the main features of the new installer (besides that it actually runs on newer MacOS versions) is that SIP does not need to be disabled! :)

I've lost functionality under Mac OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan :( Alphatrack Manager is in the menubar, and it's assignable in Pro Tools peripherals menu, but the hardware does not respond. Pretty sure HW is OK, it was working fine til recent OS X update.

Any ideas??

Whoa!!

I'm about to upgrade from Mavericks to El Capitan. BUT, does this mean that even using this new updated installer, Alpha Track will not work in El Capitan?

Is anybody able to use Alpha Track in El Capitan? Is anybody else having the problem madtheory reports in his post quoted above?

Lastly, I already previously bought the 64 bit update for Alpha Track and it is installed. So, if I update from Mavericks to El Capitan, do I need this new $35 installer for Alpha Track that lets you install in El Capitan with SIP enabled, since I've already got the prior 64 bit update for Alpha Track installed? i.e., is this new updated $35 installer only needed for installing?

I've been running AlphaTrack over El Cap ever since the new driver became available. It's always been solid for me.

I'll be doing a clean install of Sierra in a couple weeks, so I will soon be able to report on how it works there.

It works for me under Sierra, but I must occasionally unplug and replug the USB connection to get it going when I start up.

I still have that issue. Also, if I want to nitpick, there's still an issue where parameter values on the AlphaTrack display don't update as you're turning a knob. For example, when you grab a rotary encoder and start to turn it a bar graph display appears with a numeric value to the right. This remains static, however it is still sending the correct controller info. One of these days I'll email the programmer and see if he can tweak it. I know he may have fixed this once in the past on an earlier version.
