Record erase exsiting MIDI notes

HI!
Sometimes I met the occasion that record will replace the exisiting MIDI notes, but sometimes I don't get this occassion, anyone has an idea how to turn it/off?

Got this fixed by shortcut. Where is this button? Couldnot find it...

In the transport, under the pause button. It looks like a play triangle with a little tuning fork under it. (This is showing the merging of live MIDI with recording MIDI).
M1 MBP; OS 12, FF800, DP 11.3, Kontakt 7, Reaktor 6, PC3K7, K2661S, iPad6, Godin XTSA, Two Ibanez 5 string basses (1 fretted, 1 fretless), FM3, SY-1000, etc.

Once again, it would be nice if folks would create a signature listing, at the very least, what machine, what OS and what version of DP they're running.

In DP9, the Overdub button is moved to a group of buttons to the left of the transport, right next to the "X bars" count-in button, and finally got a better icon. While it's nearly impossible to depict the meaning of "overdub" in a tiny flat graphic, this new "recording-style red dot with a plus sign in the middle" comes a lot closer to whatever the hell that old one was supposed to mean.
