At the time I bought NOS McOne, I was not aware of Mammoth. Here is a forum on their products from slutz two days ago... https://www.gearslutz.com/board/so-much ... cave+audio They are having a sale in their products... their basic unit ground control standard without headphone amp, meters and mono switching is 279.00

I can do without meters or headphone amp but, no Mono summing is a deal breaker for me. -20bB half-mute and Mute are nice, too.crescentoon55 wrote:At the time I bought NOS McOne, I was not aware of Mammoth. Hearing it in mono by hitting a switch or toggling A/B without doing anything in my DAW is one of the reasons I use a monitor station.

Re: monitor management hardware?
I agree... the McOne has a mono/stereo switch.... I didn't need the meters.... I think the McOne is a better deal for the price...
Re: monitor management hardware?
I agree Mike. The 20dB drop and mono are absolutely necessary for working fast especially with multiple speakers. The SPL has those, has stepped gain, which is the only way to really get an accurately calibrated repeatable room, and is killer sonically. For us, it was between that and the avocet. There are others released since we committed to the SPL, but I can't say enough good things about it.mikehalloran wrote: no Mono summing is a deal breaker for me. -20bB half-mute and Mute are nice, too.
