I received the eMail letter informing me of this VI for $99 US.

Why haven't I seen or heard anything about this on the board? Have I simply missed it?

Sounds to me like something that could've been included in DP9, although that wouldn't have delivered funds to the charity...

Info? Thoughts?

I posted this here as there isn't a spot for it yet in the VI section, and having read the General Recording stipulations and so on this section appeared to be the closest to being an appropriate spot.

It is a UVI type sound-bank. Those without Mach5 would use the UVI player which will run on anything.

Yeah, I get that, Stoiv, but the blurb stated that it was a "universally compatible virtual instrument", not that it was sound bank.

If it had said that it was a bank that was "playable in the universally-compatible MachFive or UVI instruments", I'd have understood it correctly.

A link was provided, but in the interests of efficiency I don't click links unless the descriptions compel me to do so. Mind you, if that priest from the Excorcist had been standing over me, flicking that Holy Water™ onto my chest whilst yelling, "The spirit of Jesus Christ compels you!", I might just have taken the plunge.

EDIT: Speaking of efficiency, I'm sorry about this thread, James. It turns out that it belongs in the MachFive section, as I've just learned. Then again, it could be argued that it belongs in the bin, but I reckon it should be kept as folks might want to discuss this bank down the track.

Yes the case was overstated or at least misstated. It is a sound bank that can be used with any DAW that runs UVI. But I suppose UVI is keen to get their player on as many computers as possible.
