Although I don't have the same configuration as yours, it works like a charm here on my iPhone 6/iOS 8.4 + 10.10.4/DP9.

Amazing. Completely broken on my iPad Mini 2, iOS 8.4, 10.10.4, DP9. Doesn't work on my iPhone 4S, iOS 7. Does work on my iPod Touch 2, iOS 4, although MOTU says it won't.

Are you disabling Bluetooth on your device when using it? I remember reading that this could cause problems.

I'm on Mavericks still, and it works on my iPad (iOS 8.2) and iPhone (iOS 8.3), with caveats:

1. Sometimes the initial launch of DP Control will freeze. This then requires quitting the app, double clicking the Home button, removing the app from ram, then relaunching it. Then it works.

2. Some of the functions do not work. For example, going to the second screen on the Transport page will freeze the app. Back to step #1. On the iPad, the Mixer screen crashes the app. On the iPhone, it won't work at all.

Bottom line, it seems to me that absent a new update from MOTU, DP Control is on borrowed time.

Yes, bluetooth is off. It usually launches, but quits when I switch screens.

It won't work for me at all, although it worked a couple years ago.

Why don't they fix this, or discontinue it?

If MOTU had made a new version of Control available only for v9, that would have been a big incentive for me to upgrade. But they didn't... big missed opportunity and a tad annoying.

MOTU have acknowledged for well over a year now that Control is buggy and effectively broken and when you look at what is available for other DAWs, well...

I don't do a lot with it, mostly the transport controls. And I have to manually re-establish the connection any time I restart either DP Control or Digital Performer on the Mac, but that's always been true.

It isn't the Mac OSX version that is the issue with DP Control, it's the newer versions of iOS. Unless MOTU decide to update the app, once you upgrade iOS, it could break DP Control totally or partially.
