DP9: presets for Ensemble Chorus?
I'm definitely getting DP9 no matter how this question is answered, but have they included any presets this time for the Ensemble Chorus and the other difficult-to-learn plugins?
thanks!
thanks!

No. Irritating, ain't it? The new DP9 plugins have presets, but nothing for the DP8 plugins.

Re: DP9: presets for Ensemble Chorus?
In my mind, by not including presets, MOTU left the plugin unfinished. Sloppy.

Re: DP9: presets for Ensemble Chorus?
What baffles me is why at least some of the presets borne out of the development process weren't included, not just in this instance but in others too.
An analogy might be that in the case of, say, the authoring of a video/computer game, one cannot help but play the thing at every stage where progress has been made in the coding. I remember that when I wrote games for my own gratification on an ATARI 400 during the early eighties, I couldn't wait to test every new feature / aspect of them as I progressed. It's no different from constructing rough mixes at various stages of music projects; it's a natural phenomenon to want to assess the efficacy of an endeavour well before its completion. In fact, it's arguably imperative in almost all cases, with those of rare or fleeting genius being the only exceptions I can think of.
So, unless the plug was written over a few dozen cups of coffee on a purely theoretical level sans any real-world testing, it's obvious to me that presets would have been saved, at least as starting points / jumping-off points as features were developed.
MOTU, I'd settle for a copy of them.

Re: DP9: presets for Ensemble Chorus?
Maybe it's time to launch MOTUcloud™, and have any plug-in automagically suck in relevant presets shared by users?
