Are you running DP off an SSD? Ever since I started doing that, this will happen to me. Especially if it's the second time I'm launching DP within a short period of time.

I run off a 7200 rpm spinner in my iMac and there are also times I don't get the splash screen especially if I'm re-opening DP9 after a crash. I do always get it upon first opening of the day or if I haven't opened DP in a couple of hours.

User error, Magilla.

Pop the trash can in a bag and run DP in the spa at your local bathhouse.

Surprise, surprise:

No hard copy of the user manual anymore!

Only the "Getting Started" guide.

Guess I'll hang on to my DP8 User Manual for awhile... :-)

It was still worth ordering a boxed version, to get the Getting Started Guide in hard copy form, I guess...

Same here, Mark.

So disappointed, but as you've probably assumed, the DP8 manual should be almost all the way there.

I need hard-copy versions for my synths etc. too; I'm not in the market for any portable electronic device for many good reasons, so the ability to read on the couch or wherever requires said manifestations.

After MOTU has faced, it must... manifest!

I didn't really have time to wade through all the posts, at the rate they were accumulating, but figured I was one of the first to order the boxed version so might be the first to note the "missing manual".

My box arrived yesterday. The box itself is a very nice design; but, there is no nice hefty manual included to read during downtime. Included is a physical disk and a Getting Started manual.

Mine too, but no Key Code... I did get one over the phone when I ordered.

I have an iDevice, but it is usually busy running V-Control or a synth, so using it to read the manual is messy on that device while working.

Running the PDF on the main monitor covers up the application, so unless you are running two monitors, it necessitates toggling back and forth between PDF and app. Not elegant really, but those are the choices.

Maybe you can use your monkey powers to marshal enough support such that MOTU could give us the option of buying a printed copy from them.

Same here, the box is marked with a sticker on the front that says "Upgrade" but there is no key code to be found inside. But my online account at MOTU does have the code.

Yes!

Making the key code available in our MOTU accounts is just another example of excellent customer service!
