How do you create legato in MIDI Editor
Hi
I'm looking for a simple solution to this common problem: I record a MIDI track that is routed to a VSL Flute. To make the sound legato there have to be an overlap between the notes, but I don't always accomplish that when I play the notes. So is there a way to select the notes in the MIDI editor and have DP8 checking to see if the notes overlap and if not extend the notes a bit to create the legato?

One way: Use the "move releases to closest attack" command. Then use the duration command to make the notes a few ticks longer to get the overlap.

I meant a force-legato command.

Re: How do you create legato in MIDI Editor
How would that differ from the existing Region menu command? Or are you talking about something that would record a passage as legato in the first place?JSmith1234567 wrote:I meant a force-legato command.
