New parameterized "smart auto-swell" plug-in (free)

Post by mhschmieder »

Might be a good alternative to drawing CC curves after-the-fact, given its algorithms and parameters.

I'm downloading it now, but won't get a chance to try it until tomorrow at the earliest.

"Parametrized" my new favorite word.

That seems like a very useful plugin. It's something I often reach for in my multi-stomp.

They also have a tremolo that they want us to try.

Interesting. Because it says "download and test" is it stable?
Please download and test.
I'm not sure I feel like testing it.

The 'download and test' admonition was for the AU only. Aimed at Logic users? Don't know and don't care. I'll download the VST.

Well, I downloaded both versions of both plugs. The VST and AU versions load and work in DP 9, no problem. It's donation-ware. Free to install and use but there's a payment link if you want to contribute to the cause (I do eventually).

Frankly, I have no idea how/why I would ever use Auto-Swell.

OTOH, Tremolo is pretty cool. You can have it follow a number of shapes and even do asymetrical tremolos - everything from surf and Buffalo Springfield guitar to "Hurdy-Gurdy Man" vocals. This will be fun. Oh yea, I'll give them some money for this.

Thanks, MH. This plug works great. I've had to do this a few times recently on some electric guitar tracks...not any more.

Usually use it for cutting off the start of guitar notes to give that reverse sound
