MIDI Express XT USB Disconnecting / Mac Pro / Yosemite
Hi.
I have a new Mac Pro (black coffee-can style) and my MIDI Express XT keeps disconnecting a few times a day.
It usually happens after a few hours of work in DP.
I can get it to reconnect by hitting "re-scan" in AudioMidi Setup.
I have tried;
1) Different cables.
2) Connecting it through a USB-2 hub.
3) Connecting it direct.
4) Connecting it through a USB-3 hub.
5) Reinstalling Motu MIDI drivers, updating MIDI Express XT Firmware, resetting my XT.
6) Trying a different XT (I have a spare).
7) Trying different ports on the Mac Pro (it has four).
Still the same problems.
I'm just using the latest DP in Yosemite, and VE Pro as a Kontakt server, all on the same computer.
Any thoughts?
HELP!

Is it happening after your Mac goes to sleep?

Re: MIDI Express XT USB Disconnecting / Mac Pro / Yosemite
Hey!
I'll DEFINITELY try that.
It's not losing settings, actually the total connection, but it's worth a shot.
Thanks for recommending that!

It's normally everybody's first recommendation but you don't see that many in the field anymore. I had forgotten the battery even though I have an MTP AV that uses the same C2032.JSmith1234567 wrote:Hey!

A weak battery is worse than no battery. I learned that a long time ago. So here's hoping...
