Freeeze Tracks option?

Freeeze Tracks option?
I'm in the middle of a rather large cue. I've selected multiple tracks to freeze. However, when I access the audio menu, "Freeze Selected Tracks" is greyed out. How do I freeze the selection?

MAC HOST: 2.8 GHz 2010 Quad-Core Intel Xeon; Memory 32 GB OSX Ver 10.7.5

Audio tracks or MIDI? If you're talking about MIDI tracks, I think you have to select both the MIDI track and the associated instrument track.
