Cassetto is really a characterful synth. Very interesting story how the wave sources were obtained!

I went for the Spectral and PolyKB patch libs, and gave a few of the Kosmology and Multiverse pieces a try. Cassetto is definitely more than worth the price all by itself, though!

Thanks for the tip - we'll see if another bonus gets added! :-)

Whew! Color me relieved. Since last night I sent an email to a friend about the deal, texted him to check his email, then sent another email saying maybe hold off as it might not work, then just texted him now saying it's okay, it does work and to go ahead and buy it. LOL All over $10... but hey, times is tough!

My Synthmaster order delivery is apparently delayed due to the observance of New Years Day being today (Monday, Jan 2nd). Guitar Center actually seems to give everyone the day off! (Even the call-centers are closed.)

I snoozed and I lost out on SynthMaster. Looks like a cool synth. It's ok. I have enough synths like that.

So Samplitude Pro X3 Suite is on sale With Sound Forge 11 for $199.

http://www.magix.com/index.php?id=23146 ... NmcmQ2R57f

If you are a Windows user, this is a really amazing deal that helps fill in some holes of DP and/or offers an excellent post-production workflow.

That really, really, really IS an amazing deal! (It is also my primary DAW - object-based editing, spectral editing and track-view, many good synths in the bundle, including full Independence.) The two together (DP and Samplitude) make for a fantastic pairing.

You know what's weird though? I installed Synthmaster and Synthmaster Player. I figured sinceI don't really tweak much with sounds I might use Sythmaster Player more. Then I discovered something a bit strange. I was playing with the Factory Preset "PAD Lost in Space FN" on Synthmaster and it sounded great... wide, spacious. I loaded the same present in Synthmaster Player and, well... it sounds AWFUL! NOTHING like how it sounds in the full Synthmaster. Can you confirm? Is it me? Seems very wrong. :?:
James, are you sure that is the full version of the Player? The reason I ask is that I assumed I had the license for the player version as well as part of this deal, but when I went to download the license key file, it told me I hadn't purchased it. So that might be a demo???

Anyway, Guitar Center finally delivered this evening, and I'm pretty impressed, just listening to some of the sequences and pads. Nice stuff!

Terry
Pretty sure it's the full version of the Player. I had to enter the serial number etc. when DP launched in order to authorize it. If you have time, try it yourself. Load PAD Lost in Space in SythMaster and then do it in SynthMaster Player and you should hear a very pronounced difference.

Does this work with the FREE Kontakt Player by any chance? I don't have Kontakt 5 yet and can't really do the upgrade right now.

I think as usual these will work in the free player for 15 minutes, then timeout.

Hmmm... I just haven't really felt the need to upgrade Kontakt 4 to 5 which is $99.
