Hmmm... too late... I bought the MPX. I'm an unabashed plug-in slut, so I'll probably pop for VintageVerb as well. At least I'll go get the demo now. I'm still waiting for Sweetwater's electronic fulfillment to come through so I can download MPX. Also... can't help myself. I just wanted to have at least ONE Lexicon plug. It did get really good reviews also.

LOL I found myself ogling the Lexicon PCM Reverb bundle this morning (only 238 at Audiodeluxe this month) thinking the same thing....love to have me at least one Lexicon! But I forced myself to wait FOR NOW because it would mean less time to play with the Valhallas, which I'm really enjoying and have barely begun exploring.

Yes, get Vintage Verb but also Ubermod which is capable of insane delay and reverb-esque modulations. As a guitarist you'd go nuts! Just finished recording a track with a Stockhausen preset, it sounds great and I'm not really a guitarist!

It's really too much, all these great toys.

And don't forget Trash 2 for your drums!

After applying the code, that's $45 less than the combined upgrade prices. I still have version 1 of both products.

I'm tickled pink with Addictive Drums 2. And I still can't help but think about how the full version with three included kits was 75 cents LESS than if I bought the upgrade from AD1 to AD2 at XLN's website and IT DIDN'T INCLUDE THE 3 DRUM KITS!

Addictive Drums & Vdrums

Post by kgdrum »

Addictive Drums looks like a good deal but I can't find anything about edrum support for something like the Roland Vdrums.
Does anyone here use AD with Vdrums? Hihat playability is the issue that would make me want to try AD or ignore it,anyone used this with Vdrums?

Thanks

They have a demo version. Also, I know they have a mapping function that has all sorts of various presets for drums. I'm in my office right now. I'll go to the studio computer and see if I can screen capture it for you.

UVI PlugSound Pro—50% off thru 6/8

Post by Rick Cornish »

Got this notice from UVI today. I won't be getting this one, but I f you're looking for a good collection of basics, this could be worth a look. I have quite a few UVI plugs and have been pleased with them.

Thanks, James for starting this sticky. I'm going to have to re-allocate budget dollars to cover these tempting deals. 8)

No problem. I'd still download their demo first to be 100% sure.

FYI, I changed your subject header for you of your message. This is kind of tricky having just one topic for multiple deals. The way I try and keep it somewhat organized is to use the "Quote" button when you wish to reply to something, EVEN IF you are not going use the quoted text. That preserves the proper subject header of the message you were replying to. Then you just select and delete all the quoted stuff if you don't want it and type your response.

Otherwise, using the Reply button at the bottom will fill in the subject field of your new post with "Re:" + the subject header of the very first post.... in this case "Plug-in Sales and Special Deals Sticky Topic".

How much of this collection is duplicated if you have the MachFive3 default set?

Hmmmm... I actually already have Plugsound Pro... as in the actually VI by that name that's 32-bit, but it will run with 32 Lives in DP 8.07 in 64-bit mode. The library can be used by MachFive. AFAIK, it's different than anything included with MachFive... it's its own separate thing. However, it's a bit older, but it covers all the basics nicely.

It *appears* that the current version of PlugSound Pro is available in a 64-bit version:
http://www.uvi.net/en/content/124-faq

I'm not positive that it's different from the included patches in M5-3. That would be a good question to pose to UVI through their website. They've always been responsive to me in the past.

The actual samples, or maybe patch details might be different, and I'm not even sure of that, but in any case, there is a lot of overlap. I got it about a years ago, and never found anything in it that was uniquely different from the M5-3 libraries.

I was wondering. I think I'll save my $75 on this one.
