That is a STEAL! I paid $399 on sale last 4th of July weekend and was pumped! (As in, "thrilled".) Gadzooks! :-)

Must be the season. IK Multimedia has announced Syntronik, their vintage synth collection.
http://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/index. ... m_id=10700

$149 or $99 CROSSGRADE from any IK product priced over $/€99.99. Resellers sometimes have better pricing with IK
http://www.ikmultimedia.com/shop/buysyntronik.php

Syntronik works as a stand-alone instrument for Mac/PC as well as a plug-in for most popular DAW's. Syntronik sounds can also be seamlessly read by SampleTank 3 …

Syntronik synths include:
Modular Moog, Minimoog Model D, Moog Voyager, Moog Taurus I, Moog Taurus II, Moog Taurus 3, Polymoog, Moog Opus 3, Moog Rogue, Realistic Concertmate MG-1, Multimoog, Micromoog, Moog Prodigy, Sequential Circuits Prophet-5, Sequential Circuits Prophet-10, ARP 2600, Oberheim SEM, Oberheim OB-X, Oberheim OB-Xa, Yamaha CS-80, Yamaha GX-1, Yamaha CS-01II, Yamaha SY99, Roland Juno-60, Roland Jupiter-8, Roland Jupiter-6, Roland Jupiter-4, Roland JX-10, Roland JX-8P, Roland JX-3P, Roland TB-303 Bassline, Alesis Andromeda, PPG Wave 2.3, ARP String Ensemble, Elka Rhapsody 490, Hohner String Performer, Roland RS-505 Paraphonic & Roland RS-09 Organ/Strings.

So, as much as the '80s were my favorite era musically... Oh wait, they weren't. Still, I might go for one or the other, perhaps the UVI based on price (I know they're not the same). OTOH, I may pass altogether.

Seriously, thanks for the heads-up! I'd much rather know and decline than feel I missed out.

T-RackS Sale Ends Today

Post by Rick Cornish »

Group buy ending today: Buy one T-RackS module, get two more, free.

http://www.ikmultimedia.com/mobile/news/?item_id=10703

I don't have any experience with these modules (other than the metering module that comes free when you install TRackS, which is useful and very compact), so perhaps someone else can comment on whether any of the modules are worth getting.

It's been extended through June 30. Apparently, they met their buy in goal because now it's buy one, get three more free.

Now you can get 4 plug-ins for the price of 1 with our T-RackS Group Buy! From now through June 30, 2017, when you purchase and register any T-RackS processor and/or Lurssen Mastering Console you’ll receive 3 additional plug-ins of equal or lesser value.

http://www.ikmultimedia.com/trgb/

If they hit a second goal, you'll get another.

Purchase and register any T-RackS processor and/or Lurssen Mastering Console and get 3 more of equal or lesser value FREE. Plus, get another FREE processor when 2,000 people participate!

The last time, I did one of these IK Multimedia sales, I used my favorite reseller for the initial purchase. Upon registering the product, my free add-ons became available in my IK user account.

This seems like a very good deal, but I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the T-RackS family. I watched a review video on Pensado, where he actually seemed rather blasé about the plug-ins he was promoting. Does anyone here like and regularly use any of these plug-ins?

Grab up all the LinPlug instruments you can for that price! They are all terrific! (I own every single one of them except SaxLab.) Fun, deep synths all.

Those look & sound really good. I'm pleased to see that Spectral & Morphox support polyAT and scala tunings. Terry, can you give me a little more info (other than the blurbs I read there) what are the strengths of each of those? I don't do much electronic music, but occasionally reach for a synth sound for ambience or for fattening a bass line. However, I'm always looking for inspiration.

Re: T-RackS Sale

Post by mikehalloran »

I have only used SampleTank and Miroslav Philharmonik from IK Multimedia. A year and a half ago, I parlayed an upgrade of one into getting the complete versions of both (during one of these limited time sales).

This time, it's T-RackS plugins. So, when IK offers a deal, if it looks interesting, pounce. I have never seen them offer the same deal twice.

The IK license manager is a bit odd but once you get used to it, registering and activating is easy enough.

Morphox is just so much fun. You load in an A and B sound and use your mod wheel to literally morph between the two. Very easy to use, lots of presets.

Spectral is a monster, with additive, subtractive, and FM all rolled in together. It is very deep, but also comes with a boatload of presets to alter. It is a CPU-heavy item, though, so be forewarned! The filter shaping and comb effects you can get are terrific. There are several preset-packs which are also discounted now.

CRX4 is a sample mangler with a ton ton ton of sounds. You can use your own samples, too.

They all have demos, so I'd say the best way to check them out is to download those. These are all unique synths. I would say that Spectral and CRX4 are geared more to folks who like to dig deep, but that is not necessary to get a lot out of them. I'd say the key to getting the most out of LinPlug synths is to get to know the various controller routing routes well, if you want to dive in deeply.

Waves H-Reverb for $29 today

Post by James Steele »

As part of Waves' continuing plan to draw us into their ecosystem, they have another $29 special going on today, but this look like a great reverb from some of the reviews. Usually $349. Anybody have any experience with this?

http://www.waves.com/plugins/h-reverb-h ... for-vocals

As usual, there are other online companies that discount ON TOP of this price as well.

Kilohearts Tape Stop 50% off plus other freebies

Post by Basstrup »

https://kilohearts.com/ offer 50% of their tapestop snapin. There are also other freebies on the site.

Personally I got Reverser when it came free with Computer Music magazine ($4.99 online version) and I use it quite often.

Their stuff is a bit different than other plugins, you need the free Snap Heap to run the snapins, in DP you add Snap Heap as the plugin and then run the desired Snapin.

They have a $99 Snap Heap that will allow running snaps in a multiband fashion.
Analog is great... We got both WOW and Flutter - what's your bias?
