Check Out Mini Host Modular!
OK, we all need a bit bridge at this point but I think we deserve a little more bang for our buck.
Check out Mini Host Modular from Imageline Audio.
Its a public beta so you may need to register.

here's the youtube overview.

it acts as a 32/64 bit bridge but also acts as a VST wrapper for DP so your not stuck choosing between plugin formats within your projects.
it host vst 32 and 64 as well as AU 32 and 64 with internal routing and FX layering capabilities.
I've been testing this out for a few days now and am very happy with it.
I don't know what it will cost when its finally done with beta but IL products are usually reasonably priced.
but a full modular routing environment with built in vst wrapping and bit bridging is a very useful tool.
EDIT
I also just read on the forums that they are going to make mini host modular free!!!

In my review of the manual, I didn't see 32-64 bit bridging as a feature. Did I miss something?

This looks quite cool. I've enjoyed using Image Line's DrumAxx and Morphine. They are both odd-balls in a way, but make unique sounds. The interfaces have personality.
The other similar and free (!!) environment like this is the EigenD software. Though it was originally designed for use with the Eigenharp, it does a similar thing with routing audio & MIDI through an array of functions & plugins.

Re: Check Out Mini Host Modular!
its pretty cool if you need modular, and/or if you need to wrap a VST around AU (or is it the other way around?). It is NOT a 32 bit bridge.

There currently is no 32 to 64 Bit bridging possible inside Minihost Modular.

Re: Check Out Mini Host Modular!
Not sure I understand why wrapping as VST as AU is important now that there's direct VST support in DP8?

Re: Check Out Mini Host Modular!
The only reason I can think of is if you had a 32bit VST and you own 32 lives. You could wrap 32 lives around the 32 bit AU mini modular and put the VST in there. Obscure use case I know. Main advantage of this free plugin is the modular aspect, but myself I have rarely found a need for that either. Perhaps that is why the plugin is free.
