Post by apanacci »

Hey guys, this works for me. I opened an OMF file in Audio Desk 4 and saved as a DP file. Then I opened that in DP8. It worked for me. Can anyone try that please. May be a work around the problem with DP and OMF files , thanks let me know how anyone fares with this !

What problems are you seeing, specifically? I open FCP7 OMFs in DP8 all the time.

Never worked for me since DP6. It will open the file then crash the program. It does create a folder though. Still will crash if I try and open the saved file in the project folder. I open the OMF files in PT8-11 with no problems using DigiTranslater so I know the files are ok.

DP6 was flawed that way for me too, but haven't had an issue since 7.

What happens is when I get a new version of DP it works a few times then crashes from then on. When I have a chance I am going to trash prefs and stuff. I am determined to figure this out.

Does it happen if log in with a clean, vanilla user profile? Or if you disable plug-ins?
