Make a 44.1 file play at wrong speed in 48kHz project?

Post by FutureLegends »

Hey!

I'm trying to solve a weird problem with a FCPX video project I'm working on. (mostly doing video these days, which is why I've been very silent here).

I need to add a 44.1kHz file to a 48kHz project and have it play IN THE WRONG SPEED. Both FCPX and DP8.07 automatically convert it to 48kHz so it plays in the correct speed.
Is there any way to make DP to convert it so it plays in the wrong speed???

Set the file header to 48k in DP so FInal Cut won't think it needs to convert.

This is something I've forgotten how to do. Where do you change the file header?

Soundbites window… I forget the exact command, but it's there. REALLY handy when you forget to set an external clock properly before recording. :banghead:

That's news to me. Always used Soundhack for these issues in the past.
