It's there! Thanks, Bill. I just don't understand why it didn't show up in my search attempts...

If I figure it out, I'll report back. Thanks again!

There. No longer missing.

PS: I reckon I'm the poorest animal here, so I'm on my knees; I'm beggin' ya... please use it!
Nicky, I would, but I can't, because I started this thread, so I'm already redeemed. Unless time travel gets invented this weekend, in which case I can hop on board a TARDIS and undo it. :D
Er... it was invented, Billy, but that was last weekend. You'll have to jump into the TARDIS yesterday. Easy, peasy.

OK. I don't think my sister's cat has a copy yet.
There you go, Baysey. I'll take it. Thank you!

I did finally succeed in getting their website to accept my login and provide me with a usable link. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet, and may not for awhile, but I do look forward to the upcoming effects suite update with the consolidated interface for stacked effects.

Took me about an hour to get it. Coincidentally, I actually had a real need, prior to knowing of this promotion, of a low octave "creator" for to, well..."create" a bass trombone from a regular trombone part.

It worked great.

Wow, a whole octave and it sounded natural? That might even beat Melodyne!

I recently made a new-to-me usage of Melodyne on a bass guitar track. I wanted the timbre of my Jazz Bass with flats, as my Yamaha 5-string is a bit too aggressive and assertive for the song in question, so I played the lowest note on the bass and used Melodyne to "down-tune" it three half steps to Db.

Worked like a charm, but I wouldn't push it any further than that! It was the final note of the song, with a long sustain. I didn't want to down-tune the bass on-the-fly or even for an overdub and felt that with a tool such as Melodyne I could isolate the "change" point and take care of the "tuning".

This might be a great job for the SoundToys plug-in, as one could also alter the timbre a bit to match how a lower note actually sounds on a stringed instrument. And hence, maybe get away with larger transpositions, as in the case of your full octave bass trombone line!

It was a processed kinda staccato trombone part so it was fine. Not sure if had contained long tones!
