Hi guys,

suddenly parallax audio plugin is causing several crashes in DP8. Anyone with the same experience? Any idea how to fix this?

Thank you,

Rubens.

creating new projects I realize that parallax works fine, so it should be a problem with the old project only. If it is corrupted there is a way to fix it?

What is the "Parallax" plug-in? Is it an AU? VST? Sorry I've never heard of it.

Hi David, it is the alternative to MIR by Vienna. Cheers.

Mir? Parallax? They're similar? That still doesn't tell what they are.
What are they?

Dang, I LIKE that. That's the way Wallander Instruments works, by the way, and I've really enjoyed that aspect of WIVI (Wallander's interface). Now that I know what Parallax is, I'd definitely be into it, or MIR, perhaps.

I've been ignoring the thread, because there was not even a basic inkling of what it's about, and if I stopped to look up every post like that, it would take all day!

I have both VSS and Spat. I absolutely love VSS. It lives in our big orch template on about half the stuff that doesn't blend well with our beloved spitfire libs. Reigns in the other things so nicely. What a great tool.

I should say that I am still using the version 1, and didn't update, as I have gone thru some major life changes, with not being too well. Sorry I haven't been around to help much the past 5 months :(

You guys and gals on VSS version 2, what are the major changes you appreciate?
AMPGUI themes - Andy rocks!, 3 macs, MacPro 768GB ram, 16core OS11.7.10, DP11.31, all Waves, all SLATE, PSP, IK multimedia & Audioease plugs, all PAlliance, Softube, tons of NI VI's all air Spitfire, all Audiobro, all Berlin, EW PLAY, LLizard, MachFive3, Kontakt5, Omnisphere, RMX, LASS, all Soundtoys, Lexicon AU's, melodyne and others I know am forgetting, cause I'm old...Also mucho outboard rigs, MTPs, DTP, antelope WC, and 4 control surfaces with Raven.

Hi labman,

Sorry for the delay, I was waiting for some pro to answer you.
So, the main difference between vss 1 and 2 is that in the second, after inserting the plug in every instrument, you will get all off the instruments arranjed in every instance allowing you to make changes in any instrument just opening only one instance of the vss. No need to open every instances to make changes.
Besides that, which is great, there are a few possibilities of different rooms to choose, microphone options as well and other things that a pro could explain. In other words they are very different the 1 and 2. Hope I could help. Cheers.
