Others will weigh in, I'm sure. I'll spare you the reasons why I still feel burned by BIAS and focus on the product itself.

You might have an upgrade path being a previous customer but if you changed your email, you might not have received it. You cannot upgrade through the App store. I got the email and decided to pass.

SS4 is a one trick pony but its functions are part of Izotope RX (currently v.4). So, for me, it's redundant.

If all you need is a tool that learns noise and filters it out, SS4 is inexpensive at $80/app store or $50/upgrade.

RX 4 has three tools (Declick, Denoise, Adaptive Hum Removal) that attack the problem with a lot more precision. In addition, there are more tools that many find useful such as Spectral Repair, Declip, Dialogue Denoiser and Clip Gain. A demo is avaliable.
https://www.izotope.com/en/products/audio-repair/rx/

So, while RX costs more, I find it far more useful. I'd much rather remove hum and hiss from a tube amp with two filters than try to get one to remove both. I find the results cleaner.

It's possible that your favorite reseller may be able to give you a break on the price of RX 4.

There is also a WAVES tool that people like but I have never used it.

I feel guilty that I still haven't downloaded and tested Soundsoap 4 to see if it fixes the bug I reported a few years back. Hopefully in a couple of weeks I can focus on a couple of deferred restoration projects and give it a go.
