When you go to insert a plugin, the selection dialogue box comes up with 'Categories'. These are all for MOTU plugs. If you right-click (ctrl-click) on any plugin, you get options to 'Create a New Category from Selection' or 'New Category'.
But how does one add a plugin to an existing category, so that, for example all reverb plugs, MOTU and 3rd party, show up under 'Reverbs'.
I am sure it is something simple, but I just can't figure it out.

You just drag and drop the plugins into your User Categories. I don't think you can modify the preset categories for MOTU plugins, but you can put the MOTU plugins into your User Categories.
