After migrating to a new machine, I moved my VIs libraries to an SSD. Now when I launch a project it gets a beachball and will not load unless I activate the old drive with the VI programs (patches). I can go in and reload the VIs one by one but that could be very time consuming in the bigger projects.
Any of you guru types know a way to tell all the VIs to look somewhere else for their patches in one fell swoop?
Thanks.
Changing VI directory paths en masse?

I'm not sure, but I think you'll need to go into each virtual instrument's preferences and set a new path to its library folder. I know this isn't much help, but hopefully someone will fill in the details.
Good luck!

Some VIs don't seem to have a default path setting. I'm doing the piece by piece changes now. Ugh! What a PITA! Thanks Mike.

You could create partitions on the drive with your old drive names?

Yeah, I thought of that but the SSD boot drive doesn't seem to want to be partitioned in Disk Utility. I created the folder with the same name. Maybe a disk omg of the VI library placed on the boot drive? I'll try that...cuttime wrote:You could create partitions on the drive with your old drive names?
